http://mangans.blogspot.com/2013/04/billionaires-for-open-borders.html

Mark Zuckerberg has formed a group consisting of himself and assorted other fellow plutocrats to lobby for open borders, because they aren't rich enough already and pay too much in labor costs: Billionaires for open borders {http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/mark-zuckerberg-immigration-groups-status-stumbling-89652.html}. The group's membership reads like a compendium of latter-day robber barons and malefactors of great wealth.

"The roster of the Zuckerberg groupís founders as listed in the prospectus and confirmed by a source is heavy on executives with Facebook connections. It includes Netflix founder Reed Hastings, Twitter creator Jack Dorsey, LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, Dropbox CEO Drew Houston, Zynga co-founder Mark Pincus and Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom. Venture capitalists Jim Breyer, Ron Conway and Paul Graham are also involved."

And, it's bipartisan too.

"Signed on to be the Zuckerberg groupís campaign manager is Rob Jesmer, a former executive director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Serving as political advisers are two Bush White House veterans: Dan Senor, who also served as Paul Ryanís chief adviser during his vice presidential run, and Facebook executive Joel Kaplan.

The prospectus describes the group as a unique entity in the immigration fight. Listed among qualities that 'we uniquely bring to this fight,' the prospectus says the Zuckerbergís group is the 'only well-funded bipartisan pro-reform group.'"

This is a perfect example of how the rich couldn't care less about the mass of people that live in this country. No, it's a perfect example of how the rich hate, hate, hate them.

We saw today that unemployment has become massive: People Not In Labor Force Soar By 663,000 To 90 Million, Labor Force Participation Rate At 1979 Levels {http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-04-05/people-not-labor-force-soar-663000-90-million-labor-force-participation-rate-1979-le}. The labor force participation rate is at a 34-year low. Yet, we apparently don't have enough workers to go round.

Zuckerberg's group originally wanted to call itself "Human Capital", but that was scrapped, probably because the name invites the making of distinctions between humans who have higher or lower amounts of human capital. Most of the immigrants we're getting, especially those who would be included in an amnesty, don't have a heck of a lot of capital, human or otherwise.

lol, gas our eliTTTe

i don't think this is actually beneficial for the elites. if we were to truly have open borders, the burden on social services would explode, and they would be expected to pay for it (along with the middle class). third-world poors will also shift the country even more in the direction of redistribution. cheap labor can already be exploited in the manufacturing sector without bringing the poors here. in the services sector this isn't true, but i still think the costs exceed the benefits for them
